2010

January 2010 - SS Sonata Hit won the Young Horse Qualifier at Dressage NSW, Clarendon with an impressive score of 8.74. It's a great start for this talented horse (pictured right - photo by KEB Photography)!

DJWTS 2010 - SS Sonata Hit 4 year old Champion & 2nd in Champion of Champions!

SS Sonata Hit was born at Saffron Stables on 16 December 2005. He is by Sandro Hit out of PSI Oktavia (Clintino/ Landadel) (imported to Australia in 2004) He is the first of our imported German breeding/ embryo foals to be put under saddle and out competing. He won the NSW January 2010 Young horse qualifier. His performance at DJWTS 2010 was a delight.

The top 3 were ridden by the International Guest rider Ton de Ridder. Ton's first words after dismounting form Sonata were - "WOW! I wish Germany was not so far away as I wouldl like to take this horse back there with me."

Ton de Ridder then award SS Sonata Hit the record perfect score of 10 out of 10!

This is a great validation of the Saffron Stable's breeding and trainability program

2009

Competition was limited due to work demands. However PSI De Caprio, Donner Carina and Weekend Feeling all were awarded Dressage NSW bronze medals for their 2009 performances.

Highlights include Donner Carina's performance in March, where she got placed second in the Official Medium 4.2 test at Clarendon, and a 5th place for Weekend Feeling at the Australian Dressage Championships. 

2008

PSI De Caprio (bottom right), 3rd in the Intermediate I at the Sydney CDI on 2 May 2008. His first ever Inter I!

Weekend Feeling (bottom left ) & Judy Dierks placed 1st & 2nd in Dressage NSW Medium Classes at Clarendon.

2007

PSI De Caprio is the 2007 Dressage NSW Advanced Horse of the Year.
Donner Carina competed at the World Championships for Young Horses in Verden, 2 to 5 August 2007.

Weekend Feeling competed in Australia for the first time- medium at Dressage NSW competition with Andrea Beatty.

Donner Meyer now under saddle and in training and will compete in 2008.

Simsalabim now under saddle and in training and will compete in 2008.

2007 competition schedule disrupted severely due to equine influenza
outbreak.

2006

2006 was another successful year for Saffron Horses. PSI De Caprio had great success competing at medium level. Donner Carina won back to back Champion of Champions at Dressage and Jumping with the Stars, backing up winning the title in 2005, ridden by Judy Dierks.

• Donner Carina is competing at medium dressage level.

• Weekend Feeling is competing at medium level dressage.

• PSI De Caprio is competing at advanced level.

Donner Carina is also the Novice Champion at the 2006 Australian Dressage Championships.

In 2006, Donner Carina was the Mitavite 5-year old Young Dressage Horse of the Year
